Robin's Dream

This scene is my husband Robin's Dream. It gets cold here in the winter, sometimes a couple of weeks at -30C or colder and his poor knees just ache. That's what happens to older goalies! I was going to put old but sometimes Robin reads my posts sooo lol better safe than sorry. OK this is his dream to retire in the winter to a warmer place, much warmer. So this week Flourishes stamps is having a contest to create something manly for their May stamp release. Well I have quite a few stamps from Flourishes but this set, Beach Life, I bought for Robin. I knew he would LOVE it and as soon as I saw the challenge I knew what I was going to do. I asked Robin to make me this plaque. Its out of MDF which he routered the edges and I painted it. Its for his office so when he's ready to pull out his hair, yes he still has lots, lol, he can look at his dream. I was thinking this would also be a good class for May. Any thought?
Stamps: Flourishes Beach Life
Paper: Dusty Durango, whisper white
Ink: creamy caramel, cool carribean, pacific point, basic brown, basic black
Other: wood plaque

  1. Oh so beautiful, who wouldn't want to retire there. Love those sky and beach colours. As for the class, I am totaly in favour of the plaque class, would be great fun and those plaques are a great way to display a much loved card!!

    Great brayering by the way....

  2. Very pretty Dawn, and so very thoughtful for you to think of your hubby this way! Tell him to be careful what he wishes for though - he might not like warm as much as he thinks! I probably wouldn't like the cold if it made my knees hurt though!

  3. Gorgoeus! You created a fantastic scene, the water looks AWESOME! I would love to be there also. :0) Thanks for playing in the manly challenge!

  4. Wow Dawn! Fabulous coloring!! All I have to say is ... take me away! This is so peaceful and serene looking!
