Bird of Paradise

I made this gorgeous card, Doodle Pantry Bird of Paradise, for a friend who's recuperating from surgery. I thought this bright, cheerful flower would cheer her up. I was quite surprised when the colours turned out almost exactly like the photo I had of it, perfect! I've entered this into Papertake Weekly which is putting on the glitz, Charisma Cardz challenge which is spring and Stamp Something which is something funky.

Stamp: Doodle Pantry Bird of Paradise, sentiment from Doodle Pantry Everyday Birdies
Paper: summer sun, brilliant blue, whisper white, Stampin Up hostess dp
Ink: morning marigold, brilliant blue
Other: prisma markers, stickles, rhinestones, ribbon

  5. This is beautiful! I'm new to cardmaking and just wondering how you added the color to the flower. When I looked at the image at Doodle Pantry I sae that it was just a black outline.

    1. Hi Anonymous, I coloured the Bird of Paradise with Prisma markers, which are alcohol markers. Copics, prisma, spectrum, sharpies are all alcohol markers. I grabbed an image off of google and then tried to copy it.
