Hey Gorgeous

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring The Corrosive Challenge Blog this month and the theme is "Things with Wings". I used this cheeky parrot from Doodle Pantry's Parrot Play for the challenge. I LOVE how his beak turned out it almost pops off the page. When I was doing the background I stamped the leaves really well, got a nice clean dark image on the paper and sprinkled the embossing powder over it. When I was heating it I'm thinking " Some places aren't sticking very well, I wonder why..." WELL its because I didn't use versamark first OR craft ink! Taking two weeks holidays isn't a good idea, I forgot how to craft, lol! I do like however the different colours of green it created, the background looks quite awesome IRL.
I'm entering this into:

Paper: basic black, whisper white, summer sun

Other: EK success lattice punch, stampin up scallop oval, spellbinders circles, recollection brads

    Gorgeous parrot, gorgeous card! You could not have got a better background had you meticulously planned it all out. It is fabulous and suits the parrot perfectly. Love this card and love those brads, what a great job!

    Dawn I just think this is a fabulous card. The background is perfect with this image and I love how you have the parrot off center in the circle - adds such interest. Terrific coloring. A really gorgeous card Dawn.
