March Release

I can't believe that its March already! With a new month comes a new release from Doodle Pantry and what a release it is. I chose to play with this gorgeous realistic lion from the set Lion & Lamb which has Easter sentiments but comes with individual lion and lamb heads. I needed a masculine birthday card and this lion was so perfect. I brayered the background and then coloured and cut out the lion. I'm still practising with shading on fur (I think some parts should have been darker under his mane) but on the whole I do like how his shading turned out.
Jump on over to Doodle Pantry and check out the March release and visit the other Design Team members, there are new members with different styles! Remember at noon the new Doodle Pantry Digital challenge begins and if you enter (using a Doodle Pantry image) you receive an image in return. Here's a link to freebies if you don't have one.
I've entered this into:
Simon Says Stamp Challenge: anything goes
The Sisterhood of Crafters: getting digi with it
OWH Stars and Stamps: use a digi
Digital Tuesday Challege: things that leap
Shopping our Stash: include a sentiment
Dream Valley Challenges: Just for men

  1. It turned out to be a very masculine card...love it. I even thought you printed the picture of lion twice and cut out the inside and used pop-ups for 3 dimension....that tells me you did a fine job on shading.
