Eat, sleep, fish

I'm posting late today I was out shoveling snow! I love snow, shoveling not so much. This is the last of the challenges I'm doing on stamp tv and it was to add a button to a bow. My "bow" is made with twine but it still was a bow, lol! My Dad brought over some buttons he had taken off of old shirts so I got "new" buttons, sweet. After I added the button I also had to tape it down. Because its so large and my ribbon is narrow it flopped, looked hideous actually! I put a dimensional square on each side of the button to stabilize it, looks much better. I used the set from Gina K which has a lovely lake trout and even my husband said I coloured it great. Now that's a compliment. I've also entered this into Paper Sundaes, which is to use something new, Totally Stampalicious which is to recycle something (the button) and Tip Top Tuesday which is to embellish.

Stamps: Gina K Gone Fishing, Stampin Up angler and weathered
Paper: always artichoke, mellow moss, purely pomegranate, whisper white
Ink: always artichoke, purely pomegranate, old olive, going gray, craft mellow moss
Other: prisma markers, button, twine, MS punch, stampin up perfect dots embossing folder, circle spellbinders, clear embossing powder

  2. This wonderfully coloured fish turned into quite a card. You did a marvellous job on it Dawn. Aside from the fish, I love how you did the border and the button string. Great job!
