Awe 50

I made this card for my husband's friend who turned 50. The inside says "Where the crack and pop isn't just the beer can anymore!" This stamp is actually an Aussie Santa, too funny, from Make it Crafty. Well they are having a 1 year celebration and until June 28 their stamps are 40% off, just put celebrate into the coupon code. They are celebrating all of July so go and have a look at their stamps Make It Crafty I just LOVE their background stamps. The kitchen behind the Aussie is a separate stamp and I merged the two together. This is the first time I've used it and I love it! The light green splotched background paper is actually a making memories paper that's just light green. I used handsome hunter craft ink, stamped and embossed the splotched background onto it. I've entered this into:
Make it colourful(Make it Crafty's challenge blog):Merge stamps (I only had two stamps but I went shopping, lol!)
Sketch N Stash: sketch (new- kitchen background and splotched stamp)
Kaboodle Doodles: Food and/or drink (He's drinking beer in the kitchen!)
Creative Craft Challenge: Make your own background paper)
Saturday Challenge: embossing (I have both wet and dry)

Stamps:Make it Crafty Aussie Santa, Kitchen background, Impression Obsession Splotched
Paper: Handsome hunter, pacific point, summer sun, whisper white, making memories
Ink: craft/classic handsome hunter
Other: prisma markers, stampin up perfect dots embossing folder, circle punches

The Big One

Turning 50 is the big one and Betty Bumblethorpe helped our friend celebrate, lol! The inside of the card says "50 What - Games? Goals? Years...Holy Crap! Happy Birthday." I masked her linen skirt so it was a solid and added the stripes, then added the maple leaf to her shirt. Very easy. I've entered Betty into Your Next Stamp Challenge the colour blue, Creative Craft World card for a male, and Creative Card Crew no flowers.

Stamp: Just Inklined Betty Bumblethorpe, computer generated sentiment
Paper: brilliant blue, whisper white, basic black
Ink: none
Other: prisma markers, ek success lattice punch, cuttlebug diamond plate embossing folder, brads, blue flocking, Stampin Up tag corner punch

Sweet Mouse

This adorable mouse was made entirely with Stampin Up punches and a plain transparency sheet. I didn't design him I got the idea from this blog Paper Punch Addiction. Kim is an amazing crafter have a look at her blog. I had to change the face a bit because I don't have face stamps and I sponged the basic grey paper with white craft ink. This was one of three projects for my monthly workshops. I've entered this into Cards for Men which is valentine/love, Papertake Weekly which is anything goes, Penny's Paper-Crafty challenge which is Hearts a flutter, and Creative Craft world which is love.
