Remember

Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Chocolate, Coffee & Cards and the challenge is Ribbon for a Cause. I used the Doodle Pantry I Will Survive set and  coloured it purple for Alzheimer's (I know it looks blue but purple doesn't photograph well)
My Dad has dementia but he's 81 and with advanced age sometimes that happens. But I sat and talked to my sister-in-law a couple of days ago and we had a great conversation. But when I got up to leave I knew deep in my soul that to her I was only the lady who was walking a dog who stopped by to talk. She had no clue as to my name or that I was related to her. She's 53. When Alzheimer's hits someone that young its so tragic, not really for the person because they just don't know, but for the family. Her husband of 28 years is devastated. He's angry at the disease and its the family of the victims who need the help.

I've entered this into:
Cute Card Thursday: bling it up
The Paper Shelter: anything goes

Simon Says Stamp and Shop: no rules

Stamps: Doodle Pantry I Will Survive, marble cube, sentiment computer generated
Paper: basic black, whisper white, handsome hunter

Good Luck

It seems like forever since my last post! I've been getting ready to move my Dad into a retirement home and yesterday was the actual move, YES! Its done, he's in and now the real work begins...cleaning the house, getting it ready to sell, yuck! Anyway I made this card for his big day, bamboo is suppose to be lucky. He doesn't want any plants so a card will have to do.
I also made this card for the Fab 'n' Funky challenge we are sponsoring today. The challenge is to make your own flowers, which I'm not very good at. I do however like how they turned out. The inside says "and congratulations Dad on moving into your new home!" Here's a closeup of the flowers.
I do like the die cut I borrowed from Glenda, thank you, to make the flowers. Hop on over to Fab 'n' Funky and give the challenge a try!

Thank you, thank you

Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Little Hands Challenge Blog and its a challenge blog for kids! The age is 16 and under and the challenge this week is a thank you card for a school teacher, dance/music, etc. I have two friends with girls aged 14 and 16 and they both would do a card similar to mine, especially with the sentiment, lol! The only thing missing is glitter, they really, really, r-e-a-l-l-y like glitter and I didn't put any on this!
I used Doodle Pantry's Buttercups and created my own sentiment and finally got to use a new spellbinder border, very nice. Tell all your friends kids about the challenge, they'll have a blast!

Good morning, today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Just Inspirational Challenge and the photos for inspiration are gorgeous!

I used the colours from both photos and Doodle Pantry's Ducky Duck from the top photo to create my card. I cut off their feet so it would look like they're swimming.

This is the second stamp from Sandi and Anne at Outlawz. As long as I make something with it and post it I get another free stamp, awesome!
