Friendship Roses

Good morning, today its Oldie But Goodie over at Catch the Bug!  I created a birthday card for a very special friend, Glenda with beautiful roses!

I printed Bugaboo's Friendship Roses out twice so I could pop up the flowers and butterflies. First I used copics then prisma pencils/gamsol to colour the roses and liquid pearls for the dots. Porch Swing

Good morning, I thought I'd share a sympathy card I've made for a friend.

Lemon Shortbread Star Field Fairy

Good morning and Happy New Year! I'm very excited that my first post of the year is for CCC Digi Creations as a Guest Designer. I got to work with a great image from Lemon Shortbread Star Field Fairy and as soon as I saw her I knew she was a winter fairy too!

I printed her twice and used prisma pencils/gamsol on shimmer white cardstock to colour her. I cut her out, her ponytail and collar to pop them up. I added blue stickles to add even more bling.  IRL she shimmers and looks so cool! Drop on by CCC Digi Creations and take a look at what the DT created and join the challenge!

Snow Angels

Good morning, I'm back from a much needed Christmas staycation, I hope everyone had a great holiday! I finally had some free time to myself to create this cute card with Doodle Pantry's Snow Angel Ants. I cut out the ants, their boots and mitts and popped them up. I added stickles to the centres of the snowflakes but you can't see them.

Giggle

Good morning, today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug 

and its a bingo challenge! 

I chose to do a diagonal row of die cut, 3-D object and 2 or more images. I merged two images, Bugaboo's Spring Elephant 2 with Cute Puppy and then printed them twice so I could pop up the elephant's head, puppy's head, the ladybug, snail and clouds.

Good morning, its the beginning of a new month which means a new release from Doodle Pantry! I love creating scenes with stamps and the new stamp set On the Road was perfect for me. I stamped and fussy cut the jeep and trailer and then popped them on the background I had created. East, fast and fun.

Awesome Night

Good morning! I attended a 30th Birthday party last night and this is the card I made. My inspiration came from Lori's card here, her colouring is amazing! The inside says "I hope you have an awesome birthday!"

I used prisma pencils and baby oil, then added crystal effects on the bottles and painted the balloons with a sparkle 3D glue. It was a great party!

Good Times

Good morning! Today is the first of the month so a new release from Doodle Pantry! We've got another huge set of stamps to show off and Igloo Fun is the one I got to play with. I printed the set off twice to pop up all the penguins and walrus. I added liquid pearls to all the snowflakes as well as to the scenery. I'm using this as a Birthday card (I can't believe its made ahead of time!)

Something Smells

Good afternoon, I tried to get this post done earlier but afternoon will have to do! It seems like I've been behind the eight ball for the past 3 months. I finished this card and was posting it on the Doodle Pantry blog at midnight last night for posting this morning...at least it got done. Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Robyn's Fetish challenge and their theme is more than one fold. I've never done a Joy Fold Card so thought I'd give it a try with Doodle Pantry's new set Nature Calls.

Most of the tutorials for the Joy Fold have the front flap smaller than what I made but I like the larger panel.

The sentiment Sometimes Life Stinks comes with the Nature Calls set but I made the Plug your nose It'll pass sentiment.

The outhouse on the left panel is hand drawn by me not one of the stamps from Nature Calls. My Dad has dementia but he's 81 and with advanced age sometimes that happens. But I sat and talked to my sister-in-law a couple of days ago and we had a great conversation. But when I got up to leave I knew deep in my soul that to her I was only the lady who was walking a dog who stopped by to talk. She had no clue as to my name or that I was related to her. She's 53. When Alzheimer's hits someone that young its so tragic, not really for the person because they just don't know, but for the family. Her husband of 28 years is devastated. He's angry at the disease and its the family of the victims who need the help.

Snowball Fight!

Good morning everyone I hope its cool wherever you are, its hot, hot, hot here! Well hot for us (me), lol, its suppose to be 32C today which is 90F, yuck! Sooo to keep cool I'm making Christmas cards this month, or at least trying too. Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Stampin' Sisters in Christ and their challenge is to use at least 1 circle or oval element, use at least 2 different papers and use at least 1 embellishment. 

I have circles everywhere, three different papers and three embellishments, I used stickles, rhinestones and a ribbon.

I cut out and popped up the ants and snowball. I added silver stickles and next time I think it would look better with diamond stickles instead of silver.

Ducky Duck

I used the colours from both photos and Doodle Pantry's Ducky Duck from the top photo to create my card. I cut off their feet so it would look like they're swimming.

I made this card for a special friend who as of 8am this morning went into surgery...a 17hour surgery! He has a great sense of humour so after he comes out of intensive care we'll take this up for him.
