Poinsettia Greetings

Usually when a poinsettia comes into my house it goes eeeeek! and drops all of its leaves, lol! Sometimes I even have to buy another one just before Christmas because the first one looks so bad.
BUT for some reason, and I am totally amazed by this, I received a poinsettia for Christmas AND its still gorgeous! Its April 2 and my poinsettia is not only alive (!) but still has most of its leaves and is red! So this amazing plant inspired me to create this card.
I embossed the background with Impression Obsession Holly, gorgeous.

I stamped the poinsettia three times and then cut out each layer.

I always stamp the inside of my cards and back too.
I LOVE Christmas, lol its never too early to make cards.

I've entered this into:

Poinsettia greetings

Here is one of the second set of Christmas cards for July's workshop. It looks so much better IRL, its all sparkly! This is an old Stampin Up set poinsettia greetings. IF this wasn't for a workshop I'd stamp an additional poinsettia and cut petals and add them to the image but because its for a workshop we just don't have time. On Paper Craft Planet they have a i {heart} bling challenge, which is all about bling. Love sparkly cards!
Stamp: Stampin Up Poinsettia Greetings
Paper: wild wasabi, whisper white
Ink: wild wasabi, real red, basic black
Other: ribbon, brads, gold stickles, classic/petite scallop spellbinders circles, stampin up perfect dots

Poinsettia greetings

This gorgeous poinsettia is from a retired Stampin Up set called Poinsettia Greetings. I stamped it twice and cut out the middle part and mounted it again to create dimension. The cuttlebug folder is called Holly Ribbons and is actually the largest folder you can buy. It fits an entire A2 card front whereas the others don't. I did this card for the Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential challenge found here. The challenge was to make a card with flowers in mind and of course Poinsettias count as flowers, lol! Real ones don't last very long at my house but I do love them.
Stamps: Poinsettia Greetings, Seasons greetings
Paper: Whisper white, purely pomegranate
Ink: garden green, basic black, purely pomegranate/bravo burgandy
Other: brads, ribbon, sakura glitter pen/crystal effects (poinsettia berries), cuttlebug folder, spellbinders circles.
