Stampin Up Angler

This card was made for the stamptv technique challenge Smackin' Acetate. The main image was my sixth try and the only one that really came out well. I need way more practice. The colours I used were bermuda bay with streaks of not quite navy for the water. The sky is crushed curry, dusty durango and ruby red. I have no idea how I got the orange in the middle of the yellow because that's not how I did it, lol!! I went straight across with my markers for all of the colours, misted them and then did a slight twist with the paper like Gina said in the video here and I got an orange sun. Don't get me wrong I like it, but I'm pretty sure I'll never be able to do it again!! I also don't know how I got the white streaks!! I'm so confused, lol. I matted the image different than I've ever done. Black, crushed curry, then on one side dusty durango and the other tangerine tango. I stamped a water stamp by stampscapes with white craft, then embossed with white, and added the black ribbon and photo corners. Again on one tangerine tango and the other dusty durango. I'm still trying to decide if I like it!

  1. Beautiful card Dawn. Love the water, and your sky. May have taken a few goes, but the end result is quite gorgeous.
