Ladybug Hi

This is the last of the individual ants from Doodle Pantry Ant Masquerade, they are just adorable. I love these guys! I've entered this into two challenges the first is Critter Sketch Challenge, easy fast sketch. The second is for a fantastic cause, its called a Heart to Heart Card Drive and is on the Blog: My Blog by Cammie. Cammie's grandmother died two years ago from complications of Alzheimer's. This drive is to send a card or cards to an Alzheimer's caregiver to let them know how much they are appreciated. Cammie is also giving away blog candy to one lucky winner, an estimated $1000.00 of products from many different companies, some of which are Our Craft Lounge, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and Flourishes Stamps. Melanie Muenchinger (Hope tin) and Rae Barthel (handmade card and set of four handmade notecards) have also made cards or projects for the winner. Amazing candy for one lucky winner and a totally worthwhile cause. This drive is open until October 3 at 8:00pm. Take a look and make a card!

Jingle Bells

Yesterday was stamp-n-play day and I was hoping to get three cards done, nope, only this one! We talked, laughed, stamped just a bit, and had fun. These bells are so easy to colour and look great, especially with stickles on them. I also used smooch spritz on the background with a little change. I used the spray before and didn't like how it covered so I changed it up a bit. I put 1/3 smooch spray and 2/3 99% alcohol into the spritzer and it covered much better, smoother. The only thing is sometimes a drop of the liquid would drop on my paper, I think I need a new spritz bottler! I've entered this card into a few challenges. The first is a sketch challenge on stamptv. I love white on white and that is the challenge at colour create. Charisma Cardz this week is anything goes and One Stop Craft Challenge is to use snowflakes.

Christmas Past

I've been trying to come up with great cards for the 9 card workshop that don't take too long to do. This one is getting close, the next one I try won't be embossed so the background will be a little lighter and it won't take as long. Other than the background its pretty fast and easy.
I used the new stampin up Christmas Collage for the background on vanilla, the main image is from Bells and Boughs another gorgeous set. I've entered this into the Critter sketch challenge, which is to use only neutral colours BUT no black or white. Moving along with the times challenge is to do a Christmas card. And lastly Secret Crafter Saturday challenge is anything goes, perfect!

New Doodle Pantry images

Today's the 20th which means new images at Doodle Pantry! I got to play with two new images, both fantastic. This gorgeous snowdrop flower is so easy to work with and goes with any colour since its mainly white. I printed the image twice, then cut out some of the petals and raised them, easy and elegant. The second card is of my favorite images which is the ants. They are so cute and this new release is no different. The ants are dressed in costumes, sweet! There is an ant dressed as a butterfly, a bee and a ladybug and then a scene with all three. You've got to check it out. I've entered both cards into the Stamp Something challenge which is to create a card with a digital stamp. Both cards are entered into Secret Crafter Saturday challenge which is anything goes. However ONLY the ants are entered into Sketch Saturday, love the sketch!

Christmas Bells

I finally got my Christmas order of Stampin Up and am working on cards for the workshop. Yes Tanis I'm thinking of you! I saw this card and absolutely LOVED it! I wish I had seen it before I placed my order, I guess I'll have to order again. The Stampin Up Petals a Plenty embossing folder is gorgeous! This one is still very good but for Christmas the Petals a Plenty is much better, it makes such a nice background. This stamp set is from the Holiday mini catalogue and I'll be making more Christmas cards with it. But tomorrow I'll be showing you one of the new Doodle Pantry releases they are gorgeous!

Wweeeeeee

These Ants from Doodle Pantry are such a scream! There are ants with balloons, lemons, books and ants surfing on water from the hose, lol. Its starting to get colder here, its suppose to be only 1C in the morning by the end of the week, so I thought it was time to play with these guys, they are so cute. I've entered this card into two challenges the first is Cards for Men, using the theme transport. The challenge doesn't say how you are transported so sliding down a hill in a leaf is definitely being transported. The second challenge is Kaboodle Doodles which is a photo inspiration. I've taken the colours of blue, white and yellow from the photo to colour my card.

Sending You Sunshine

This summer has been the cloudiest that I can ever remember here! Alberta is renowned for being sunny, even if its -30C its still sunny but this year has been awful! Cloudy day after cloudy day so I decided to make a bright sunny card, with lots of sparkle and flowers. This card is for the Whimsy monthly challenge which was to use pearls, and I used a lot of them. I stamped the flower twice, cut out 4 petals and raised them. Gorgeous.

One step at a time

This cute turtle is from Doodle Pantry and ever since I saw him I've LOVED him, and I've been trying to make a card with him. I wanted to colour him realistically and I discovered I need waaay more practice! I must have thrown out at least 6 watercoloured images, I've kept one (that I did with prisma markers) I really like but its more of a solid green, cute, but not what I wanted. It took me a while but I think I did it. I love brayering and for this card I knew that I wanted a digi sentiment. I've never printed a sentiment over my brayering, just a stamped one, so I left the cardstock as an 8 1/2 x 11. I want to try printing on a cut piece of cardstock since a lot of times I don't know in advance what I'm going to make. Any suggestions about what you do or don't do would be appreciated! The inside of the card has two of the sentiments that come with the set combined "Just saying hello and wishing you peace in a time of trouble." I've entered this into Charisma Cardz challenge which is to do something new or something not done before and the Stamp Something challenge which is to stamp something cute. This guy is totally adorable!

Hello There

I've wanted to use this stamp for such a long time and finally decided its time. I went to the Penny Black challenge and they had a colour challenge, purple, cream and brown. OK after today no more cream, brown and another colour. I think everyone had the same colour combo so this is the last one! These hedgehogs are just too cute, add some butterflies and its totally adorable! Most of the time I can use my prisma markers with basic black ink no problem, but this time some of my ink smeared., I think maybe it was still wet. I just chalked up the extra lines of black to fur. Its hard to see but I also cut and raised the snail.
Stamps: Penny Black garden visit, Stampin Up fundamental phrases
Paper: cream cardstock, whisper white, early espresso, almost amethyst
Ink: almost amethyst, early espresso, basic black
Other: prisma markers, brads, rhinestones, ribbon, MS butterfly punch, Stampin Up tag corner punch, Stampin Up modern label extra large, cuttlebug d'vine swirls embossing folder

Serene Scene

This gorgeous Pelican is from Doodle Pantry. I really debated on this one because I made it for a girlfriend going through a hard time. She loves any kind of bird, bug, animal, etc. At first I thought a Pelican would be more of a masculine card but with the scrollworks blush background (a great feminine background) I think its perfect for her. She loves relaxing at the lake and watching the birds. I used prisma markers and then embossed it and sponged the sky and water. The inside says "Wishing you peace in a time of trouble". I've entered this into three challenges, the first is at Crafters Digital Art Centre, Doodle Pantry is hosting an embellishment challenge. (If you're not a member I'm not sure the link will work for you, its free to sign up) The challenge is to do something with one or all of the corners of your project. The second is Drunken Stampers Challenge and its Serenity Now- show how you like to relax. The last is Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and its to do a clean and simple card. Two pieces of ribbon, background and image, pretty simple.
Stamp: Doodle Pantry Pelican Dreams
Paper: Very vanilla, basic black, blush blossom, whisper white
Ink: ballet blue, bashful blue, blush blossom
Other: prisma markers, ribbon, cuttlebug scrollworks, spellbinders label 4

Hang in There

This guy is just too cute, he's from Gina K Designs Hang in There. I made this card for the stamp tv sketch challenge and Charisma Cardz challenge #35 to be inspired by a song, which is... Hang in There. The background paper is actually wallpaper and instead of cutting and separating the paper I added ribbon and it looks like its separated. IRL the texture looks sooo good. StampTV is a fantastic place to upload cards for challenges, everyone there is so nice and friendly! Lots of comments and encourage, with the chances of winning a stamp set very good so why not try. Good Luck!

Stamps: Gina K Designs Hang in There
Paper: basic black, whisper white, wallpaper
Ink: bordering blue, versamark

Hogs and Kisses

I can't believe it, the day's finally here!! This is my first post for the challenge blog of Clearly Delightful sponsored by Doodle Pantry. I've had this card done and ready for days just waiting for today, lol! All of the new Doodle Pantry images are sooo sweet, especially this precious piglet, isn't she adorable! I did this for a friend who needed a little pick me up and that's what's on the inside of the card, almost. It says "Thought you could use a little pig me up". She is going to LOVE it! I watercoloured the piglet so I'd have more control over the colours. I haven't done watercolours for ages, I need to do it more often. The Clearly Delightful challenge for this month is anything goes as long as you use a Doodle Pantry image, how easy it that. Doodle Pantry has a great selection of images, the ants are my favorite, however if you don't want to buy one they have a great selection of free images here. Just for participating you also receive a free image, for this challenge its the Get Well Worm, he's adorable.
This month there will be three randomly chosen winners, 2 will receive a free image of their choice and 1 will receive an image and a prize. To see all of the details of Clearly Delightful challenge #9 you can go to this page. To enter you only have to do 4 simple things:

1. Follow the challenge theme with a project or card-this month's theme is to use a Doodle Pantry Image (that's all) If you don't have one and don't wish to buy one remember the freebie page here.
2.. Your post must be dated within the time frame of the challenge. Therefore no past creations, make something new.
3. Use Mr. Linky Widget to share your creation post (direct link to actual post)
4. This is the MOST important one, leave a comment on the Clearly Delightful challenge post and please enter only once.

Really easy to do and you get a chance to win a fantastic image and automatically get a free one.
I've also entered this into the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge, love the sketch and the Stamp Something challenge which is to make something cute. This precious piglet is just way too cute! Stamp TV use to have 5 challenges a week and now they have just two; a colour challenge on Monday and a sketch challenge on Tuesday. They are so nice and if you like challenges and love to win this site is great. I've been a member for just over a year and have won 4 times. What do you think? I've entered this into two challenges Sweet Sketch Wednesday #65 and
Secret Crafter which was to make a Christmas card. I made the background paper by first stamping with versamark and using clear embossing powder. Then just sponged three different colours in different areas.
