Rejuvenate

This is the 3rd straight day that's its snowed here and its time to rejuvenate, lol, preferably some place warm! This card had a couple of firsts for me, with the first time that watercolouring has worked with a digi stamp. I must use too much water because my images always seem to bleed. However this time I used Doodle Pantry's Palm Tree and stamped it three times and added water and sand to the scene; it turned out quite nicely! Secondly a stamping buddy showed me how to use word and create my own sentiments with wrap text rather than using paint.net. I love how that turned out too!

You still have time to enter Doodle Pantry's challenge (open until the 24th) and receive a fantastic Easter Egg Ants image for free!
I've entered this into:
One Stop Craft Challenge: anything goes

Something Smells

Good afternoon, I tried to get this post done earlier but afternoon will have to do! It seems like I've been behind the eight ball for the past 3 months. I finished this card and was posting it on the Doodle Pantry blog at midnight last night for posting this morning...at least it got done. Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Robyn's Fetish challenge and their theme is more than one fold. I've never done a Joy Fold Card so thought I'd give it a try with Doodle Pantry's new set Nature Calls.
Most of the tutorials for the Joy Fold have the front flap smaller than what I made but I like the larger panel.
The sentiment Sometimes Life Stinks comes with the Nature Calls set but I made the Plug your nose It'll pass sentiment.
The outhouse on the left panel is hand drawn by me not one of the stamps from Nature Calls. I had put everything together and then thought OK how am I going to put an outhouse on the inside....hense the hand drawn image. Hop on over to Robyn's Fetish and give the challenge a try. If you use a Doodle Pantry image you can also enter Doodle Pantry's challenge here until the 24th!

I've entered this into:

Huge Pumpkins

This card is huge, I mean gigantic! It's 4 inches wide by 9 inches high, huge! When I saw the pumpkin topiary I knew a regular card wouldn't do it justice so....lol. I made this card for the challenge over at The Corrosive Challenge Blog that Doodle Pantry is sponsoring and the theme is flourishes, anyway, anyhow. I chose a paper flourish... finally. I first had a rhinestone flourish, didn't like it, then a couple of different paper ones and finally settled on this one with the help of my stamping buddy Glenda. Thank you so much Glenda! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Digital Tuesday challenge this week with the theme of Halloween. I've used the Spooky Wreath image with the Candy Corn Ants sentiment. Just a hint of Halloween, lots of fall, perfect. I was unsure of how to do the background and as I was walking my dog I found fabric leaves on the ground (it was garbage day yesterday, lol!!) so I picked 4 of them up and used 2 on my card, I'm a recycler! Happy Wedding Day

Friends got married last weekend and this is the card I made for them. I LOVE Kenny K stamps and these stamps were perfect for them. I was very pleased how the tux turned out, I just love my prisma markers!
I added glitter to the vail on both images and to the flowers. I used larger pearls on the outside with smaller ones on the inside.

I folded the edge over by 8cm to create a pocket on the inside and that's where I put the money and knew it would be safe from falling out. It made a fantastic wedding gift! I've entered this into:

So Glad We're Friends

I normally don't use designer paper, this is a different look for me and I like it. This picture does not do the card justice, IRL the green on the birdie is much brighter.
