Good morning and welcome to Catch the Bug's Freebie Friday! Today's freebie is Grump Gertrude - Fake Plants. Most of the time I'm much better with plants than Gertrude is, my Anthurium plant is thriving which is amazing because its cold in this house at night 16C and during the day its only 20C and right now its - 25C outside so its cold by the windows. I would say its a very hardy plant!

Grumpy Gertrude's fake plants aren't so lucky, lol! Drop on by Catch the Bug and see what the other DT created with this image and then hop on over to Bugaboo to grab your freebie. While you're there take a look at all the stamps they are 50% off until December 31! Happy shopping.

Happy Mother's Day

I had intended (and had put) a Happy Birthday sentiment on this and then remembered I had better start making Mother's Day cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids Canada. (I was thinking a young teenager would love to give this to their mother) So the sentiment changed and I have my first Mother's Day Card. The sketch I used is from a scrapbook store near me Scrapbook Memories & More, who have a challenge going on with a great prize.

Most of my cards have the inside decorated with no sentiment which I can always add later.

Tuesday Throwdown: focus on sentiment

Stamp: Stampin up Long Time Friend

He also took the camera I usually use for my photos so I tried my mom's. WELL its awesome, lol! The picture is crisp and clear and I LOVE it.
I made this card for my uncle who's turning 83 today.  Since its such a large image I made it very simple with the sentiment computer generated. The inside says Live, Love, Laugh Happy Birthday. I should have a double layout of 12 x 12 scrapbook pages tomorrow.

Ruff Day

This could have been made especially for me yesterday. I've been on weight watchers for 5 weeks now and thought I was doing so good last week and I gained weight! Now come on, I had a rough day, lol! On the positive side I finally had an appointment with my specialist, only 7 months after hurting my knee, and I should be having surgery on my knee within a couple of weeks. Yes, back to step aerobics! This adorable dog is from Clear Dollar Stamps called Sentimental Puppy. He does come with sentiments but the one I used I computer generated. Caroling Penguins

I drove my husband for physio on Friday and with nothing else to do I went shopping at the local stamp store, so much fun! Did I mention I'll be driving him for the next 3 weeks, 3 times a week until he can drive himself, OMG I think I'm more excited than he is, lol! There is nothing else to do except maybe sit and read a book, NOT. Soooo I bought these cute little guys for a couple of reasons. One of course was to make a winter card BUT Cute Card Thursday is having a challenge to do a weather related card. What is the weather like where you live, well below is the photo I took Thursday of the weather in our area. In the bottom of the photo you can see the footprints on the back deck. The day before it was clear of snow. I'm just so thankful that the snow didn't fall until we were home. Driving in that blizzard would have been so stressful. We got 15cm of snow and Calgary got 23cm, I'm so glad I don't live in Calgary, lol!
I've entered this card into Scrap-Creations for the sketch, Tuesday Throwdown use sparkle and bling, Papertake Weekly use dimension, Cute Card Thursday weather inspired and Paper Sundaes for texture.

Paper: Bulk pack from Costco (green colour bought years ago), shimmer white, whisper white
