Grumpy Gertrude - Fake Plants

Most of the time I'm much better with plants than Gertrude is, my Anthurium plant is thriving which is amazing because its cold in this house at night 16C and during the day its only 20C and right now its - 25C outside so its cold by the windows. I would say its a very hardy plant!

Bears Birthday

Good morning, today's Catch the Bug's Humor Me Wednesday where we celebrate very important hilarious holidays such as Have A Party with Your Bear Day which is always celebrated on November 16! Country Cottage

Good morning. A while ago I was asked to make a housewarming card and this is what I came up with. I coloured the cottage with prisma pencils than used baby oil to blend it. I added flower soft to the vines and liquid pearls for the door and window handles.

Petite Bouquet

I was recently asked to make a card for a friends bridal shower. I LOVE this set from Doodle Pantry called Petite Bouquet, it comes in black/white outline as well as colour. I had very little time so chose the coloured set, printed it out twice to cut out flowers and pop them up. I added some stickles, border dies and done.

Hedgehog Happiness

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to those living in the US! Doodle Pantry is having their December release early and I made this card using the new stamp River Raft with merged Hedgehogs from Apple Hedgehog and Berry Hedgehog. I cut out the raft as well as the sail and hedgehogs. I brayered the background and stamped the waves.

I made this card for my husbands friend who loves happy hour. His wife phoned me just rolling with laughter when she saw the card saying I nailed it! When I get a card perfect for someone it makes my day. I used Doodle Pantry's Wild West Watering Hole double doors as the perfect front of the card.

Good morning, I checked the weather channel and we're not suppose to get anymore snow this week...maybe. Saturday we might get flurries but that's ok because I'm taking the plunge and the snow tires are coming off the van...now it can't snow.

Good morning and welcome to Doodle Pantry's April release! I got to work with this gorgeous Old Trunk which comes in b/w and an amazing coloured version; I chose to colour my trunk to match my paper. I kept the card pretty simple to properly display the trunk.

I can't take credit for thinking of this card I saw it at Carlton Cards. I think it was a Studio card but I'm not sure, if anyone knows please let me know. Sooo a neighbour of ours once owned a huge black lab and now has a tiny shih tzu/poodle cross. This cards for you Mike, lol!

Color my Life

I can't believe its March 1st already, wow! The snow's actually melting here, we should be able to take the snow tires off in another month...or two, hopefully. With the new month comes a new release from Doodle Pantry and those rascally ants are playing again, this time on an Easter Egg! My cards seem to be getting larger and large and I just love the scenes that Laurie creates with her images. This set comes with 4 sentiments, 2 papers, coloured image and an outline image which I used.

Elf Christmas

I finally had a couple of minutes so I threw together this cute guy, (thank goodness he was already coloured). I think this elf is hilarious, I just love his feet! I added stickles to the snowflakes, his hat and holly. Its easier to see the glitter in the flat photo.

 Right now it feels like it could snow here, we're all bundled in blankets, hmmmm maybe I shouldn't have made a Christmas card!
