Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Hi everyone today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Stamptacular Sunday Challenge and the challenge is Spring Bling.
I used the embossing folder Starry Night and added diamond stickles to them as well as to the branches. Then some rhinestones and I've got spring bling!

This gorgeous bird is Doodle Pantry's Bluejay and comes as an outline and a coloured version. I used the outline and coloured him myself and am really impressed with how he turned out! I cut a circle, added clouds and then popped up the bluejay. Hop on over to Stamptacular Sunday Challenges and give the challenge a try, its easy its spring bling!

I've entered this into:
Catch the Bug Challenge: emboss and bling it up
CropStop Challenge: to the birds
Pixie Dust Studio: Embossing
Digital Tuesday Challenge: wintery OR blue
Flourishes: bingo (bling, die cuts, emboss)
Tuesday Throwdown: use some sparkle

Stamp: Doodle Pantry Bluejay

This card was fast and very easy with these gorgeous stamps. This set has this large stamp as well as a set of smaller doves. I've entered this into the Flourishes Christmas challenge, this month's challenge is to make a card that's blue. This challenge goes for the entire month so there's lots of time to enter. I added stickles to the berries and IRL its so sparkly.

Winter Bouquet

Christmas in May, yeah! Christmas is my favorite time of year! Its time to start thinking about my July Christmas card workshop so this is one possibility. I'm not really good at bows and I don't really like this one but it'll do. This card is for two challenges the first one being Flourishes Christmas/sketch challenge for the month of May. The stamp I used was quite large, a smaller stamp does come in the set but the image is also smaller and I wanted the larger flower. The second is a colour challenge for StampTV using black/white/gray. Awesome combination!

Stamp: Flourishes winter bouquet
Paper:basic black, whisper white, basic gray
Ink: basic black
Other: prisma markers gray (they have a set that has 9 shades of gray in it, I used 10%, 20% and 30% gray), diamond stickles, cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, stmapin up perfect dots embossing folder, MS snowflake punch, spellbinders standard and petite scallop circle, pearls, stampin up photo corner punch, ribbon

Robin's Dream

This scene is my husband Robin's Dream. It gets cold here in the winter, sometimes a couple of weeks at -30C or colder and his poor knees just ache. That's what happens to older goalies! I was going to put old but sometimes Robin reads my posts sooo lol better safe than sorry. OK this is his dream to retire in the winter to a warmer place, much warmer. So this week Flourishes stamps is having a contest to create something manly for their May stamp release. Well I have quite a few stamps from Flourishes but this set, Beach Life, I bought for Robin. I knew he would LOVE it and as soon as I saw the challenge I knew what I was going to do. I asked Robin to make me this plaque. Its out of MDF which he routered the edges and I painted it. Its for his office so when he's ready to pull out his hair, yes he still has lots, lol, he can look at his dream. I was thinking this would also be a good class for May. Any thought?
Stamps: Flourishes Beach Life

Smallest Wonders

This is the final card for the Flourishes Anniversary challenge and I finished it on time!! Simply Amazing, lol! This card was for a sketch challenge found here. I really like this sketch and I'm sure I'll use it again. I also managed to do the Saturday Spotlight with hidden potential challenge with this card. The challenge, here, was to think "teeny tiny" and you could interpret this any way you like. I chose my image as teeny tiny.

Very easy challenge, my favorite all time stamp is Lovely as a tree by Stampin Up. This stamp is sooo black from use it doesn't come clean anymore! I also used my second favorite stamp weathered again by Stampin Up. I only have one more challenge to do and it has to be done by 6:00pm so I'm off to stamp!

Tangy Happy Birthday

This is the third card that I've made for the Flourishes Anniversary challenge found here. This challenge was to make a birthday card with fruit/citrus colours as inspiration. Bloomin' Beautiful

I did this card for the Flourishes
Timeless Tuesday Challenge found here. It was to "Cut it out and Pop it up" So I stamped the flowers from Bloomin' Beautiful twice. I coloured both sets of flowers and cut out a lot of the blooms and then attached them with dimensionals. I also put crystal effects onto the centre of the blooms for added dimension. A very fun challenge.

Baby pet friends

Isn't this stamp adorable, I just LOVE the poor dogs eyes! I've been in the baby card mood and here is another one! This is for two challenges, the first one being Flourishes Timeless Tuesday using pink as a main theme found here. Pretty simple challenge, the second one was the hard one. Its from Whimsy stamps found here and is to make a card with lots of frills. I'm not a lots of frills card maker but I think this did the trick!

Key to my Heart

This card was done for two challenges, the first one Saturday spotlight with hidden potential found here, was to do a card for valentines or wedding/love you card BUT to use no hearts. I stamped the first swan on a reverse stamp and then lined up the second and stamped it. However, after I really looked at the swans their necks sort of look like a heart. THIS was NOT intentional! LOL I finished it and I'm thinking Okay this isn't right! Oh well I really did have the best of intentions! The second challenge is from Flourishes found here and its to make a card with the feeling of love. I think this card fits that bill too! This card is for Robin's and my anniversary this Saturday. It will be our 28th.
Stamps: Firecracker Swan Song, Gina K Timeless Treasures, stampscapes water
Paper: Brilliant blue, more mustard, basic black, whisper white
Ink: ballet blue, brilliant blue, pacific point, basic black, versa mark pen

Orchids

I made this card for a challenge at Flourishes here but I made it for a second reason. My Mom loved orchids and had many on the window sill. I think she got a few to rebloom, not many, but a few. Since she passed away in May my Dad has been looking after the flowers. He now has 2 different orchids with buds on them!! He doesn't do anything special with them, I don't think, and here TWO of them at the SAME time have buds!! Way to go Dad!
Stamps: Gina K Botanical Dreams
Paper: Whisper white, always artichoke, regal rose
Ink: Mellow moss, regal rose, pretty in pink
Other: sakura glitter pen(you can't see it but the raised background has glitter on it, very pretty) ribbon, SU finial press embossing folder, corner punches, brads

Gable box + gift

I did this gable box and gift for the stamp tv monthly challenge found here and there is a free template that you can download. My gable box is a bit larger than the template because I had a 12 x 12 dp and wanted to use all of it, so I just enlarged the box. Its also for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge found here which was to create a box or bag.
It is sooo hard to take a picture of something glass, I had to take at least 10 photos to get one good one! The glass ball does bow the box a bit but it does fit, lol!! The instructions for the ornament are here on splitcoaststampers. It might be hard to see but I added diamond stickles to the snowflakes on the box, its all glittery IRL. On the back of the tag at the top is to and from.
Stamps: Pennyblack, Firecracker Designs
Paper: DP from Michaels, bordering blue, whisper white
Ink: bordering blue, markers
Other: stickles, glass ball, MS snowflake punch, MS branch punch, ribbon

Christmas Carol

This is a card I did for the Flourishes Favorite Things Challenge found here. All you need to do is be inspired in some way by the words of the song Favorite Things from the Sound of Music! Be sure to state which line of the song inspired your card! I was inspired by the line "Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes. Anyone who knows me knows I adore snow, snowflakes, snowmen, snow anything and I love Christmas! This could be a scene from the new movie Christmas Carol with Jim Carey! lol!!
Stamps: Stampin Up Keep Christmas

Ink: Soft Suede, versamark, watercolours for clothes
Other: snowflake embossing folder, MS snowflake punch, brad, shimmer paint/alcohol mix, crystal effects

White Christmas

I've done monochromatic cards before but never one colour AND only one colour, no sponging, nothing. Who would have thought there were so many shades of white, lol! The main cardstock is 100lb cardstock. The snowflake lace area and the top area are shimmery cardstock and the middle cuttlebug snowflake area is whisper white paper. All white but all different colours, lol! This card was made for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge found here to use a border punch or borderablilites. I don't have any borderabilities, YET, you know Christmas is coming, lol, so I used a snowflake border punch. The card was one of the fastest I've ever done and looks very elegant!
Stamps: Stampin Up Serene Snowflake
Paper: shimmery white, whisper card
Ink: versamark
Other: cuttlebug snowflake folder, winterwonderland embossing powder, ribbon, snowflake punch
Have a happy Halloween!

Snowmen Melt Your Heart

I got to stamp-n-play with Glenda yesterday, we had so much fun. Sometimes we don't get as much "work"done because we're too busy laughing! This is for two challenges, the first is Flourishes Timeless Tuesday found here and the challenge was to watercolour. All the snowmen are watercoloured and then clear embossed. I brayered the background and used a sponge on the snow to give it dimension. The two piles of snowballs and snowmen sign are all cut out and mounted separately. Then I added the snowflakes. The second challenge was for stamptv found here and it was to create something with snow. I think I did that! LOL Have a great weekend.
Stamps: stampin up Snow Angels, Stampin Up snowmen (I don't know the name of the smaller snowmen but I know its from Stampin up
Paper: whisper white, real red
Ink: ballet blue, brilliant blue, tempting turquoise, real red, creamy caramel, more mustard
Other: clear embossing powder, stickles, tooth pick, snowflake border punch (the snowflakes are the punched extras from the snowflake border)

Christmas Village

My stamp-n-play date was yesterday and this is one of the two projects I did! Glenda did an entirely different Christmas card. I tried out the new shimmer paint Stampin Up is carrying in the new mini catalogue. I mixed 10 drops of paint with 1 oz of 70% rubbing alcohol. It sprays great but with my large piece of paper ( I sprayed the large soft suede) it warped it sooo on the smaller pieces (2 soft suede scalloped squares) after I sprayed I put a heavy book on top. I'll redo the card and see if it works on the larger piece of cardstock. IRL is shimmers so nicely! I've never used glimmer mist but I imagine this is what its like, a gentle glitter. I'm thinking that next time I mix up a batch of mist I'll try to find 99% rubbing alcohol, it'll dry faster and perhaps won't warp paper!I did this challenge for the Flourishes challenge "A season that sparkles!" found here.
Stamps: Christmas village by stamp barn, stampin up snow swirled
Paper: whisper white, soft suede
Ink: soft suede
Other: scallop square punch, kaleidoscope embossing powder, shimmer paint, MS snowflake punch
I also wanted to say I was spotlighted in the first ever Saturday Spotlight with hidden potential!! Yippee. My not Halloween card was one of three spotlighted. You can go here and have a look at the winners! Have a great Thanksgiving weekend!
