Christmas in July, yes! This is the first summer in 5 years where I haven't been busy with Christmas card workshops, it seems very strange indeed. So I guess I need to make the cards on my own and I used this beautiful image from Doodle Pantry. It does come in a coloured version, however I coloured this one myself and really like how it turned out. A very fast, simple and easy card. I'm entering this into:
I had surgery on my knee Friday and thought I'd have all weekend to play in my craftroom. Well I coloured a lot but, yes there's a but did not make any cards until 8:00pm last night. I wanted to add more embellishments to this card, its a birthday card for a friend, but I just ran out of steam. I do like how it turned out and the sentiment is so perfect! I used this image 1 because its perfect for my friend but secondly I can use it for Doodle Pantry's Stock the Pantry Challenge #3 all you have to do is use a Doodle Pantry image, this guy is Ducky Duck. The inside says "As another pound (or twenty) melts away!" This adorable image is from Doodle Pantry (which was perfect for this card) and they are sponsoring Digital Tuesday challenges which is to use gingham. Well it was quite a challenge since I don't have any gingham paper or ribbon so I used the digital paper that comes with the hippo set and opened it into paint.net and then added the hippo over it so it looks like wallpaper. This is the first time I've tried a triple easel card, it took me forever! I followed the instructions here and changed the instructions just a bit and that's what took me so long. There is a hidden panel under the little mouse, the panel turns and voila there's another panel.
Is that not so sweet! I tried three mouse panels before I settled on this one AND the string still didn't line up! Sigh! At least I'm sure that my niece will love this card. This is the second card with this image and I LOVE her! Its my Uncle's 74th birthday and he is going to love her, lol! Its hard to see but I added red stickles to her lips and there's stickles on her glasses, and other unmentionables!! She is sooo perfect!!
