My Dad has dementia but he's 81 and with advanced age sometimes that happens. But I sat and talked to my sister-in-law a couple of days ago and we had a great conversation. But when I got up to leave I knew deep in my soul that to her I was only the lady who was walking a dog who stopped by to talk. She had no clue as to my name or that I was related to her. She's 53. When Alzheimer's hits someone that young its so tragic, not really for the person because they just don't know, but for the family. Her husband of 28 years is devastated. He's angry at the disease and its the family of the victims who need the help.

What a great card, Dawn, and for a great cause, too. It is such a devastating disease for anyone to have, but especially someone that is fairly young. I'm sorry about your SIL. It's very hard on loved ones, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous card and it has so much meaning too!
ReplyDeleteAlzheimer's is such an awful disease. You have to say goodby to the loved one so many times as it advances until the one you loved no longer exists. It must also be so scary and confusing in the early stages for the loved one. Great cause to showcase and your card is fabulous. Super wonderful colouring on the image ribbon and love the matching coloured ribbon on the card! Love it!
