Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! A new year and gorgeous new images from Doodle Pantry like these two cute Love Worms. They come in colour with paper but I chose to colour them myself. Its hard to see the background but I stamped it with hearts, in deep red and then promptly put two thumb prints on either side of my image... that's why there is a large bow on the left and three butterflies on the right. UGH!
The new DPDC challenge begins at noon eastern and just for entering you receive the cutest Cupid Turtle  and here's the free with purchase image, it goes great with a martini! BEST of all from now until Jan 3 there is a 35% sale on all images, just use 35BLOWOUT in the coupon code. After shopping for some great stamps drop on by the other DT members I know that you'll love their creations too!

Be My Huckleberry

Good morning! This is what greeted me this morning...
Originally we were suppose to get a ton of snow but now they say not so much. However its suppose to snow again later in the week and next week too. Hello winter! So onto fun stuff. Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring One Stop Craft Challenge and the theme is anything goes, which I love. So as to NOT encourage winter blues, lol, I used Doodle Pantry's Huckleberries for my friends 50th birthday.

I printed the stamp off twice and cut out to pop up the leaf and berries. I just got my Dahlias from Stampin Up and was reminded to not collect them but actually use them, thank you Glenda, lol! I added stickles to the geometric centres, the huckleberry flowers and the corner die cut.
Drop by One Stop Craft Challenge and give the challenge a try. If you use a Doodle Pantry image you can enter our challenge too!

Remember

Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Chocolate, Coffee & Cards and the challenge is Ribbon for a Cause. I used the Doodle Pantry I Will Survive set and  coloured it purple for Alzheimer's (I know it looks blue but purple doesn't photograph well)
My Dad has dementia but he's 81 and with advanced age sometimes that happens. But I sat and talked to my sister-in-law a couple of days ago and we had a great conversation. But when I got up to leave I knew deep in my soul that to her I was only the lady who was walking a dog who stopped by to talk. She had no clue as to my name or that I was related to her. She's 53. When Alzheimer's hits someone that young its so tragic, not really for the person because they just don't know, but for the family. Her husband of 28 years is devastated. He's angry at the disease and its the family of the victims who need the help.

I've entered this into:

A Very Merry Christmas

I'm falling behind on my Christmas cards so this is what I worked on yesterday. I know (or am pretty sure) she wasn't intended as a Christmas stamp but after I coloured her I saw the holidays. I have been practising colouring hair and I really like how her's turned out.
Here's a closeup of her hair.
