Wedding Wishes

My sister just came back from Paris France for a wedding and this is the card I made for her to give. I must say I struggled so much with a card that after a week of failed attempts I finally just went with traditional and made this one, lol!

I did a criss cross card in a metallic bronze I got for cheap, cheap because it wasn't selling!
I couldn't believe it, the colour is gorgeous and its so easy to work with. (I think I'm going to go and grab some more!) Add the vanilla to it and this photo doesn't do it justice. I embossed the outside of the card but just stamped the back of the card on the inside so my sister could write whatever she wanted to.
We had a friend translate wedding wishes into French because Google translate doesn't really work for this!

I added some vellum butterflies with pearls and voila! I was very thankful when it was finally done.
I've entered this into:

Hey Gorgeous

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring The Corrosive Challenge Blog this month and the theme is "Things with Wings". I used this cheeky parrot from Doodle Pantry's Parrot Play for the challenge. I LOVE how his beak turned out it almost pops off the page. When I was doing the background I stamped the leaves really well, got a nice clean dark image on the paper and sprinkled the embossing powder over it. When I was heating it I'm thinking " Some places aren't sticking very well, I wonder why..." WELL its because I didn't use versamark first OR craft ink! Taking two weeks holidays isn't a good idea, I forgot how to craft, lol! I do like however the different colours of green it created, the background looks quite awesome IRL.
