It was soo hard to guess wasn't it! The challenge was to do a monochromatic card. I love one colour cards, they look so elegant. Have a great weekend!

Embrace Life

This is a card I did for a colour challenge using brown, peach and vanilla. The stamp set is Embrace Life by Stampin Up. I stamped the large flower on vellum, embossed it and sponged ink on the back. The paper I used was digital, its a neat way to save space. You only need to print it out when you need it. Of course you need a colour printer, which I don't have, thank goodness for parents, lol! Both ribbons are from the local craft store. Have a great week.

Embrace Life

I made this card for two challenges on StampTV. The first one started today (stamp tv colour challenge) making a card using any pink and green combination. You can go here to play along.
The second challenge was to make a background using marbles (stamp tv technique challenge). You can go here to see the tutorial and to play along. I used Stampin Up sets Embrace Life and A Greeting for all Reasons. The ribbons are from Michaels.

Stampin Up Embrace Life

Glenda and I played while Joyce and Tanis did the Christmas card workshop. How sweet is that! Glenda and I did a Stamp TV challenge. I love how the card turned out even though the Designer paper in the background was suppose to show through the flowers. Oh well, I guess I had better read the challenges better, lol! I had fun and so did Glenda. When we started out the Designer paper appeared darker. But when you add a coloured flower it faded into the background. Its still lovely. I used Embrace Life and coloured the flowers in Cameo Coral, then embossed over them. I stamped the leaves in Always Artichoke and coloured them using mellow moss and then Always Artichoke just like Michelle Zindorf does in her tutorials. I stamped Stampin Up Sanded on the Dusty Durango in Dusty Durango. Have a great weekend.

Stampin Up Embrace Life

I've been trying to do different card challenges a couple of times a week and decided that Stamp TV had some great ones. This card was made for Potluck Friday-Let's go digital! STVPF19 It is a two part challenge. The first was to use digital paper, which I did. The background paper is FREE from stamp tv and is called Summer Fabrics! I had a friend print it off (my printer doesn't like anything thicker than really THIN paper, its cheap and nasty!) and then I brayered it with an old in colour groovy guava. I had to make sure that I was using the right stamp pad a couple of times because it sure doesn't look like guava! The light patterned paper is also a FREEBIE from Stamp TV and is from the Peachy Keen paper pack. I ran it through the crimper and added black brads. I used the stamp set from Stampin up Embrace Life and the saying is from a new set available July 1 called teeny tiny wishes. The background idea is from Michelle Zindorf and her wonderful tutorials. The second part of the challenge was to do a different sized card. Normally I do a 10.8cm x 14cm (4.25" x 5.5") or an A2 card. This card is 13.7 x 13.7 (just under 5.5" square) It was definitely challenging. Stamp TV has an awesome site with tutorials, challenges but also Freebies! The website is http://stamptv.ning.com/ take a look and have some fun!
