Cool Yule

So far this month is shaping up like last month, busy, busy, busy! I finally got my card done, (it had been coloured since Friday) and put together for Craft Your Passion's challenge which Doodle Pantry is  sponsoring. The challenge started Monday and is an anything goes one, thank goodness!

I used Doodle Pantry's Snowflake Sheep stamp, too funny! You would not believe how hard it is to photograph purple! The ribbon in the photo is a bright, bright purple, the same colour (almost) as the sheep's mitts, hat and scarf. It sure doesn't look like it in the photo and I took a ton of them.

In real life the two different colours looks so good together (brilliant blue, bright purple). I put liquid pearls on the snowflakes and glitter on the snow. Hop on over to Craft Your Passion and give the challenge a try. If you use a Doodle Pantry image you can enter our challenge too. IF you don't have a Doodle Pantry image pop on over to Doodle Pantry's blog and grab the free one but hurry its there for a limited time only!

The set comes with 7 sentiments and three images, 2 colour and 1 b/w. I used the outline and coloured mine then cut him out to pop him up. I put glitter on the pole to simulate frost and added stickles to all the snowflakes.

I found this bear on the Paper Punch Addition site but do you think I could find it again, noooo! I looked forever and never found it again. Christmas Baking

Glenda and I did cards on Friday and this is mine, here's Glenda's. I love funny characters and Mrs fits the bill. She's a free digital image from Digi Shack which is sponsoring the sketch challenge at CDAC (Crafter's Digital Art Centre) You need to be a member to access this page, however its easy to join and its free. Digi Shack is the first company I bought digis from, they're the reason my computer is full of digis, lol! I'll do another card with her this week to enter the CDAC challenge but now I'm entering her into Taylored Expressions sketch challenge, Stamp TV color challenge, and Lexi's Creations which is to use traditional Christmas colours. On a side note when stamping an image onto real red you cannot use real red ink, it won't show up! When I stamped simple stripes onto the green galore I used green galore ink, most of the time I use the same ink as the paper but with real red it totally disappears, so I use either rose red, purely pomegranate or ridinghood red. Weird.

Stamp: Digi shack Mrs, rubbernecker Victorian Leaf panel, Stampin Up Simple stripes
Paper: whisper white, green galore, real red
Ink: real red, purely pomegranate, green galore
Other: prisma markers, ribbon, brads, red stickles, classic/scallop oval spellbinders, crimper, Stampin Up petals a plenty embossing folder and ballet blue, creamy caramel chaulk, crystal effects, Creative memories corner rounder,
