Awe 50

I made this card for my husband's friend who turned 50. The inside says "Where the crack and pop isn't just the beer can anymore!" This stamp is actually an Aussie Santa, too funny, from Make it Crafty. Well they are having a 1 year celebration and until June 28 their stamps are 40% off, just put celebrate into the coupon code. They are celebrating all of July so go and have a look at their stamps Make It Crafty I just LOVE their background stamps. The kitchen behind the Aussie is a separate stamp and I merged the two together. This is the first time I've used it and I love it! The light green splotched background paper is actually a making memories paper that's just light green. I used handsome hunter craft ink, stamped and embossed the splotched background onto it. Lots of Flowers

Its the 15th of the month which means a new release for Clear Dollar Stamps! I'm so lucky this month I got to play with two of the new sets both flowers of the month. The first set is April's flower of the month Daisy. I chose to use the single daisy and merge two together to get the pair, then printed the flowers off twice and cut out just the flower and popped them up. The background is a butterflies embossing folder and I used stampin up chaulk to brighten the butterflies. The second flower set is May's flower of the month Lily of the valley. Going Sailing

This is the first time I've tried a triple easel card, it took me forever! I followed the instructions here and changed the instructions just a bit and that's what took me so long. There is a hidden panel under the little mouse, the panel turns and voila there's another panel.
Is that not so sweet! I tried three mouse panels before I settled on this one AND the string still didn't line up! Sigh! At least I'm sure that my niece will love this card. I'm entering this into Charisma Cardz birthday card for a teen, Kaboodle Doodles, Stamp Something, and Stampin with the Dragon all bring on spring, Crafts 4 eternity make something hidden, Penny Black Saturday challenge recycle (I used scrap pieces of vellum for the butterflies)

Need a Hug

Today's post is so late but there's a good reason. I wanted to spend a little quality time with my husband last night instead of doing cards, shocking I know. This is a special digital stamp, its from a set called Bunny Friends donated by Doodle Pantry. Katie Renz is a fellow crafter and has stage 4 stomach cancer. This stamp set is part of a bundle that is being offered by Jak Heath one of Katie's crafting friends. Jak has organized a special digi benefit to help raise money for Katie's chemo treatments. Take a look at the stamps (there are a lot of them and they are gorgeous) and for only 15 British pounds (approx $23.00) you get 20 SETS of stamps AND your name goes into a draw for prizes too! You help a family and get to create with fantastic stamps.

The prize is a $10.00 gift certificate for Doodle Pantry stamps, awesome! I also entered this into Kaboodle doodles, Charisma Cardz and Stampin for the weekend challenges which are all fall colours. Hope and Peace

I needed a second sympathy card for John's family so I did this one. The cuttlebug makes doing a fast card so easy. The white frame is a new one for me (I think it just recently came out) and is called scrollwork. Unfortunately it is a smaller embossing folder so you do need to matte it. But how simple is the card and it looks so elegant. I've entered this into the Cuttlebug spot challenge which is to make a sympathy card and the kaboodle challenge, which is to use a bit of metal. It might be a bit hard to see but there are 3 brads on each side of the card.
Stamp: Cornish Heritage Farms
Paper: whisper white, soft suede
Ink: soft suede, versamark
Other: brads, cuttlebug scrollwork, classic/scallop ovals, clear embossing powder

House Mouse cigar box

My husband brings home tons of cigar boxes and this one was so sturdy I had to cover it and give it to my son. I'm hoping that maybe he'll keep all of his pay stubs from his "new job" (hope, hope) in this box. I already made one box for him but I think he'll love this one too! As soon as I saw this image I thought of my youngest son. This is so him, just lazing around relaxing. I've entered this into three challenges. The first is Kaboodle Doodles and the challenge is to celebrate summer. The second challenge is Charisma Cardz and is to make a project for a boy. The third challenge is House Mouse challenge to create a project to celebrate something new. I am hoping this is a good luck charm and Steven gets the job! Each side of the box has a different saying. The front says "Never regret anything that made you laugh" and then each of these are on a side "smiles are contagious", "Today belongs to you", "Dance to your own music". Love all of the sayings!
