Dandelions and Butterflies

Good morning, today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and its a photo challenge.

I chose to use the colour blue and flowers as my inspiration for this card.
I used Bugaboo's Dandelion Butterflies printed it only once, added stickles and used the sakura glitter pen on the large bubbles. When using the glitter pen on larger surfaces you can see streaks so this time I went over the pen with a copic marker...no streaks! I added black liquid pearls and embossed the background. I was in a hurry and didn't take the time to properly check that I had stamped the entire background so am a little disappointed in some of the spotty sections, but it still looks good. Drop on by Catch the Bug and give the challenge a try you could win gorgeous stamps!

I'm entering this into:

Stamps: Bugaboo Dandelion Butterflies (digital), impression Obsession Butterflies (rubber)

Wedding Doves

Good morning! Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring 613 Avenue Create and their theme is anything goes/optional twist Birds of a feather: birds, feathers, wings, open to your interpretation. I used Doodle Pantry's coloured Flying Dove and printed it off one way and then turned the dove and printed it again. (notice I didn't write I flipped the bird, lol! Yes I have a sick sense of humour)
The birds look 3D IRL because I used a large ball stylus to shape them. I really like how this turned out! Hop on over to 613 Avenue Create and give their challenge a try. If you hurry you can enter Doodle Pantry's challenge as well. Good luck!

So Happy

Its the first of the month which usually means a new Doodle Pantry release but April Fool's! The new release this month is on April 5, so you need to wait a few more days, lol! But I couldn't resist this cutie pie Clover Worm and needed to make a card for a friend. I coloured him myself with copics for the gummy worm and prisma markers for the clover. They both were too dark so I used the copic blender pen to lighten both, I find that the copic works better than the prisma blender pen. I really like how it lightened both the worm and clover.
I used sakura gel pens on the butterflies. Come back on April 5 for Doodle Pantry's new release and the challenge also begins on April 5 at noon!

Dream Away

Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Craft Your Passion and the challenge is Torn and Distressed Edges and may I say what a challenge it was for me! I very rarely do distressed cards because I'm not very good at it.
I printed and cut out Doodle Pantry's Dream Catcher and then popped up the whole image. I distressed all the papers but not the sentiments. I dug around in my jewellery bag and found some metal feathers I had left over from making my son's dream catchers years ago. I made three, one for each son and then two more for my niece and nephew, then I did a crossed stitched dream catcher for our living-room, I love them!
Even though I don't do distressed I do like how it turned out. Hop on over the Craft Your Passion and give the challenge a try. If you use a Doodle Pantry image you can also enter Doodle Pantry's challenge #23 and receive a free image just for entering!

Roses and Brownies

Its the 15th of the month so a new release from Clear Dollar Stamps! This gorgeous rose is June's flower of the month and made a perfect wedding card. I printed it off twice, cut out the roses and a couple of leaves to pop up, added some stickles and there you have it. The second card took a lot more thought. I was very unsure of what to do and finally decided on a double pocket card with recipes and a jar of mix. One of the recipe cards has what is inside the jar(mix) and the other card has the recipe for making the brownies. Too cool.

I coloured the jar on the outside of the card myself as well as added the dots around the scallops with gel pen but the image that is on the recipe card and inside the card are both coloured stamps. If you do a lot of baking and giving baked goods as gifts, this stamps for you! Check back tomorrow I've got another card for Clearly Inspired challenge #32! I've entered these cards into:
