Quiet Rocker

Good morning! Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Creative Colors and their challenge is to use the colours and rhinestones. Creative Colors forgot to tell us about the twist so I have no rhinestones on my card but remember to put them on yours!

 I used Quiet Rocking Chair  and kept it simple since its such a large image. I struggled with the colours but after completing my card I do really like it. IRL its not purple! Photographing dark colours is horrendous, the colour is actually rich razzleberry which is the dark red/purple above.

Oh Deer

Good morning, I think its finally warming up...maybe! The beginning of another month means a new release at Doodle Pantry and what a great release it is. I made this card with a fantastic new set called  Deer Trio which comes in outline as well as coloured. I chose the outline and coloured in prisma markers, used the pencils to draw fur and then cut out the deer to pop him up. Love how he turned out!

I used the outline of the cowboy boot and bird in Tweet Birdhouses printed them twice to pop up the roof and birdie and then sponged the yellow clouds. The ribbon looks peach in the photo but it actually matches the dark orange/rust of the paper above.

I love vintage and found fantastic paper to work with. I coloured the sock with copics and the way the paper absorbed the ink makes it look like suede. Mid Month Release

What a great morning it is here, we're not suppose to get any more snow until Friday...so a couple more days snow free... I thought it was suppose to be spring? Anyway today Doodle Pantry is doing a mid month release and I got to play with the Pen and Ink set. I did this for a very specific reason...I'm wanting my son and his fiancée to pick a date for their wedding!

So my son said he like to get married in fall 2014 and his fiancée said she'd like fall 2016. I'm like "It kinda would be great to get married the same year!" So I showed them this card trying to give them a hint... I don't think they got it, lol!

Color my Life

I can't believe its March 1st already, wow! The snow's actually melting here, we should be able to take the snow tires off in another month...or two, hopefully. With the new month comes a new release from Doodle Pantry and those rascally ants are playing again, this time on an Easter Egg! My cards seem to be getting larger and large and I just love the scenes that Laurie creates with her images. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! A new year and gorgeous new images from Doodle Pantry like these two cute Love Worms. They come in colour with paper but I chose to colour them myself. Its hard to see the background but I stamped it with hearts, in deep red and then promptly put two thumb prints on either side of my image... that's why there is a large bow on the left and three butterflies on the right. UGH!

Its off to school we go

I woke up to a nice chill in the air and bright blue sky, what a great day! The heat of summer is gone, the leaves will start to turn yellow soon and the kids are back to school. That is also the theme for Sentimental Sunday's challenge which Doodle Pantry is sponsoring today! I printed Book Ants  twice, coloured then cut out the book, pencil and apple to pop them up. I textured the creamy caramel paper with crackle embossing folder hoping it would look like the binding of a book. My husband said "Nope" doesn't look like a book to him.
