Little Horse

Good morning! It was my son's birthday yesterday and this is one of the cards I made for him. I googled Animal Puns and this was one of them. I thought they were hilarious my husband...not so much.

I opened Doodle Pantry's Charlie Horse coloured version (the bird and horse on the fence) and then merged Charlie Daisy outline version in front of the fence. This was one of the fastest cards I've done in a long time. The inside says
"Families are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts!"

Good morning! Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Sister Act Card Challenge and their theme is anything goes... perfect! I had to make some cards that could be used for Mother's Day for Send a Smile 4 Kids Canada and Doodle Pantry's Wild Rose was a great choice. I printed the image onto whisper white cardstock and used prisma pencils and baby oil to colour them. Love how they turned out, fast, east and elegant!

BlueBells

Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Fab 'n Funky and their challenge is creating something for Mother's Day. In the UK its called Mothering Day and it was March 18. This is a perfect challenge because now I have another card done ahead of time... totally amazing! I've used Doodle Pantry's pre-coloured English Bluebells. I tried a couple of times to colour the outline version but it didn't look nearly as good as the coloured one.  

I printed the stamp off twice and cut out the bluebells to pop them up.

Birthday Wishes

I stamp every Friday with my stamping buddy Glenda. When Glenda's over we try new techniques, get cards done and just plain have fun! So for her birthday I made a twisted easel card on top of a drawer box. I'd never done a twisted easel before but Glenda is a master at them (She made one with my favourite digi's Doodle Pantry Ants!)

For Glenda's card/box I used Doodle Pantry's Holy Land Flowers 3, which I printed off twice to cut out and pop up. You can see the box is slightly open in the photo above, unfortunately I didn't get a good photo of the open box. There is a tutorial at Splitcoaststampers.

The background paper is wallpaper and I used Whimsy vine as my flourish. 

The wallpaper adds so much texture IRL. Here's a close up of the sentiment. Glenda's birthday has passed but I'll say it anyway, Happy Birthday Glenda!

Believe it or not I made this cute creature for my son's friend's birthday. There's a mouthful. He's 23 and has a great sense of humour! Wedding Purse

This is a Just Inklined stamp and totally gorgeous! It's also the largest card I've ever done at 8" x 4 1/4". Just Inklined on CADC (Crafters digital art centre) is having a guest dt call and all you have to do is create two cards, one that is serious and one funny, my funny card will be posted tomorrow. I printed the stamp out twice and then cut out the flowers, ribbon and leaves to pop them up. I added stickles to the ribbon and roses and then pearls for the baby's breathe. The embossing folder compliments the purse design perfectly. I had started to follow a sketch but by the time it was done, not so much, lol! I've entered this into:

Caroling Penguins

I drove my husband for physio on Friday and with nothing else to do I went shopping at the local stamp store, so much fun! Did I mention I'll be driving him for the next 3 weeks, 3 times a week until he can drive himself, OMG I think I'm more excited than he is, lol! There is nothing else to do except maybe sit and read a book, NOT. Soooo I bought these cute little guys for a couple of reasons. One of course was to make a winter card BUT Cute Card Thursday is having a challenge to do a weather related card. What is the weather like where you live, well below is the photo I took Thursday of the weather in our area. In the bottom of the photo you can see the footprints on the back deck. The day before it was clear of snow. I'm just so thankful that the snow didn't fall until we were home. Driving in that blizzard would have been so stressful. We got 15cm of snow and Calgary got 23cm, I'm so glad I don't live in Calgary, lol!

I made this yummy cupcake for Clear Dollar Stamps Clearly Inspired Challenge #24. Its a sketch challenge and there are prizes! Take a look, you can use any brand of rubber or digital stamps. Its the 20th with another new release from Doodle Pantry AND its my last new release as a Doodle Pantry DT member, sob! I have loved creating cards with the fantastic images Laurie creates and have adored the past 6 months. The new team is being announced at noon, I can't believe its already been 6 months! With this release Laurie is offering an adorable baby chick freebie with any purchase from now until Feb 28. So cute!Today starts another new challenge at Doodle Pantry Digital Doodles , the challenge is to use bling and a digital stamp. It doesn't have to be a Doodle Pantry stamp but it does need to be digital, as you can see I've added just a little bling to my card. We always go out for supper for our birthdays and it was Steven's birthday yesterday. For his card I put on the inside "Please no worms!" I love how this guys eyes are almost crossed! He was a free digi from Digishack but I can't find the site anymore.
