Australian Journey

A friends son is going on an extended vacation to Australia in January and I made this as a going away card. Of course it was for a challenge too, lol! Flourishes Timeless Tuesdays challenge was to make a card clean and simple and that is this card for sure! To play along you can go here. I did a wrinkle background with cream tissue paper and then after it was on cardstock I sponged Soft Suede over it. I also sponged soft suede on the circle and edges of the card to deepen the colour.
Stamps: Gina K, Local Rubber King
Paper: soft suede, whisper white, cream tissue paper
Ink: soft suede, versamark
Other: brads, liquid glue (for tissue paper) clear embossing powder

To play the challenge go here. The second challenge is from Flouishes Timeless Tuesdays. The challenge was to do a Thank you OR Christmas themed card. To do the challenge you can go here.

Happy Birthday Sam!

This is the second post for today, yippee! I did this card on the weekend for my son's girlfriend. Its Sam's birthday tomorrow and she always is bringing me flowers. OK she brings me flowers, isn't that the nicest thing ever! Its hard to see but the background glitters. I don't do flowers normally which I think is why it took me two days to do this card, lol. I also incorporated a challenge in the card, its a surprise, yes I know! The challenge is from Flourishes Timeless Tuesday and it was to extend the image outside of the frame. Well one of the bees and two flowers are outside of the frame. Easy challenge and fun, Sam got a bunch of flowers.
Stamp: Stampin Up In Full Bloom
Paper: Basic black, whisper white, summer sun
Ink: basic black, garden green, summer sun, more mustard, regal rose
Other: brads, ribbon, glitter gel pen

Change it up!

Hi, another day another challenge card, imagine that! The challenge was to mix it up. To use a mixture of stamps, design paper, textures, etc. SOOO I used 3 different design papers, 1 plain textured paper, 1 cuttlebug embossed paper, 1 stamp and added stickles. I very rarely do a card like this, especially with only one small stamp. Most of mine involve line art and painting, or at least brayering so this was very different, lol! I had to sit and think about it but I do like how it turned out. Have a great week.
Stamps: Stampin Up Oval All
Paper: Stampin Up Designers Series Paper, Textured Black, More Mustard
Ink: Basic black, more mustard
Other: Flower punch, Oval punches, flower brad, stickles, Flower from Stampin Up Pretties Kit

cuttlebug

I got a cuttlebug! Yippee!! So this card was done for the stamptv technique challenge of inking your cuttlebug image. The stamp is an inkadinkado stamp from Michaels and the cuttlebug embossing folder is bird call. For a tutorial on how to do the inking go here. This card was also for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge to use olive, red, black and one other neutral, which for me is white. To go to the challenge you can go here. Awesome two challenges in one card, I am getting better. I still am unsure if I like inking up the cuttlebug folder but I do like the embossed images! Thanks for looking.
