Cruisin' the parking lot

This is so me except I'm not that old yet! I can lose my car sooo easily, I always park in the same area so that I can find the van. My husband tries to lose me by parking in different places when he drives, he's soo bad! The inside says "getting lucky means you found you car in the parking lot." This card is for three challenges, the first is Kaboodle challenge which is anything goes with a dash of purple. Stamp tv's colour challenge is purple and green with a dark neutral and light neutral. Finally Stamp Something is a Happy somethings challenge and this is a happy birthday card.

Baked Alaska

I absolutely adore this guy, the whole stamp set by Gina K is right up my alley! I love humour and this set is perfect. This card is for a friend's birthday this month as well as three challenges.
The first is a color challenge from colourQ to use night of navy, tangerine tango, tempting turquoise, soft suede and white. I used soft suede the least, brads, cake and tie, but I did use it. The second challenge was a sketch challenge from CPS card sketches. The only thing I changed was the position of the brads, they are not evenly spaced, they're just a little off. I thought it would match the card because it was just a little off! The third challenge is from Cards for men to make a man's card with humour. The outside says "You know you're old when...(inside says) Your birthday cake looks like baked Alaska! Is that not just too funny!

You know your old when...

This is Robin's birthday card! I LOVE this set! The inside says "everything hurts- and what doesn't hurt doesn't work." There is a tutorial on stamp tv that shows you how to do a decorative edge with the scor-pal, great tool. Very rarely do I do a person just on white paper anymore. I love creating a wall and floor, its easy and I think makes the image better. Just mask off the image stamp 3/4 down for the wall ( I used weathered this time but I also like simple strips for wallpaper) You can add a rug or just sponge for a floor.
Stamp: Gina K Tickle your funny bone
Paper: Navy, Bashful blue, cameo coral, whisper white
Ink: navy, cameo coral, watercolours
Other: ticket corner punch, brads, ribbon, scor-pal

You know your old when...

This card was done for a friend. The outside says "You know you're old when... and the inside says "Your ears are hairier than your head!" LOL! I did this card for three challenges, the card postitioning systems one again here , stamp tv Potluck Friday which was to create your own word background found here AND for Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential here which was to use an image over and over again! I stamped the background saying just a few times, lol! This old guy is hilarious and doing a background saying you're old worked great! Sorry Ray!

Framed Rubbernecker and Gina K art

Robin pointed out this frame at a garage sale last weekend. Its a deep burgandy and was a whole, get ready, whopping 50 cents. I thought of old people and funny sayings right away. I combined two stamp companies, Gina K and Rubbernecker. Ethel with coffee cup and the frizzled hair lady are both Rubbernecker stamps, all the others are from Gina K. I can't wait to hang this one, lol! September is right around the corner and I'm finalizing the Stampin Up Stampers 8 group. If you want to be in one and live in South Edmonton there are 3 spots left. We do 1 or 2 projects a month and take turns being a hostess.
